2112 is a Copenhagen based hybrid gallery embracing art advisory, artist representation, international collaborations, and more. 2112 is owned by art historian Caroline Bøge.

Company history
2112 started in 2016 as 2112 Art Advisory in an office in the city center.
During the first couple years the business grew into also including artist representation with a focus on female artists, and in 2019 we relocated to open a showroom in the industrial and culturally progressive Northwest part of Copenhagen.

In 2020, we expanded with an adjacent project space allowing us to present curated exhibitions, and the same year we changed our name to 2112 reflecting the hybrid structure of the business.

Following successful years and growth in NV, in May 2023 we moved back to the heart of Copenhagen to open a new space on Holbergsgade 20. The move marks a new phase for 2112 as a hybrid gallery, which will continue to embrace advisory, artist representation, international collaborations, and much more.

Personal background
Caroline Bøge holds a master’s degree in art history from The University of Copenhagen and Harvard University. Prior to founding 2112, she was gallery director of leading Danish gallery Nils Stærk.

Her first career was in the world of classical ballet, as she was educated at The Royal Danish Ballet School and part of the corps de ballet of The Royal Danish Ballet until she chose to stop dancing in 2001.

In the 80s and 90s, her parents Thomas and Lone Jepsen ran Galerie 2112 (named after Caroline’s birthday on December 21) in the same building in Rødovre in which they lived.
